In Amics de la Unesco de Barcelona we all became teachers and students at the same time, since we all learn from each other. Here you will find an ambience of work with an open team, optimist, and you will be able to probe, enjoy and be proud of the work and the results that we are collectively accomplishing.
Given the great number of people that participate in our entity, we are used to involved professionals and non professionals of all kind.

In AUB: DiversaCat, pedagogical volunteer
Truth is that I started AUB a little bit by chance. I wanted to do voluntary work, but didn’t know in what exactly. I went by curiosity to Amics de la Unesco Barcelona, since I was attracted to the cultural diversity subject, but wasn’t sure what was exactly about.
I liked very much the Power Point presentation to get to know the entity and the enthusiasm shown by Josep the president when he explained it. I felt good and decided to involve a little bit more in this “house”.
After get to know the different projects being made in that moment, I chose the one I liked the most: DiversaCat. I decided being voluntary of the pedagogic group, since I love working with children and is ideal for people interested in observing the group, his evolution, the relationships among them at the moment of making the documental, the new leaderships, the role exchanges, etc…
This volunteering gives me the opportunity, in the first place, of completely change my daily life activities, given that I am a pharmaceutical and that has nothing to do with my job; in second place, of sharing my time with children and developing my most childish part and, in third place, forming place of a group beyond the specific project, I mean, the group in general of AUB.
Being part of this “house” and share experiences and commons concerns, as well as the trips to the mountains with ping-pong and paella. And at last, although related with the last three reasons, to get out a little bit of “my way” and life more the human side that we all have inside.
